Quick & Easy Chunky Slouchy Beanie

Project Skill Level – Beginner This Pattern Uses U.S. Terms Materials:   Weight 5 Bulky Yarn L / 8.0mm Hook Scissors Yarn Needle   Size: Average Adult - Unisex   Measurements: 11.5” Tall – 8.5” Wide (Aprox.)   Gauge: 6 rows of 10 Double Crochet = 4 Inches If you haven't done so already, please join my  Facebook Group   and share pics of your finished slouchy beanie there.   Stitches & Abbreviations:   Chain (CH) - Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Pull through stitch and loop   Slip Stitch (SS) – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Pull through stitch and loop.   Double Crochet (DC) – Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.   Single Crochet (SC) – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Skill Level: Beginner Description: This is a beginner level pattern that is designed as a great way to practice making a slip knot, doing a foundation chain and the single crochet stitch. I will be using UK terms for this pattern. Materials Needed: Any colour DK or worsted weight yarn 4.00 mm crochet hook Scissors Darning needle Measuring tape Two medium-sized buttons Sewing needle & thread (to sew on buttons) If you haven't done so already, please join my  Facebook Group   and share pics of your finished ear saver there. Stitches used: CH - chain SC - Single Crochet Gauge: None Sizes: Kid - 4" Small - 4.5" Medium - 5" Large - 5.5" This pattern is for size small. Materials List Weight 4 Yarn in two different colours * H/8 or 5mm Crochet hook Scissors Tape Measure Yarn needle Crochet Gauge : 4 sts x 2 rows in dc = 1“ square * If you want to use a different weight yarn, just follow these measurements and use the recommended hook size for your yarn choice: 13” x 7" (starting chain will need to measure 26”) If you haven't done so already, please join my  Facebook Group   and share pics of your finished cowl there. Notes: This pattern is made in the round. The beginning CH 2 counts as the first stitch. There is no CH 1 for the accent colour rows.
