Stitches & Abbreviations:
- Chain (CH) - Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Pull through stitch and loop.
- Single Crochet (SC) – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.
- Double Crochet (DC) – Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.
- Half Double Crochet (HDC) – Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 3 loops.
- Suzette Stitch – SC and DC in the same stitch, skip next stitch.
- Back Bump - BB
- Stitch(es) – ST(s)
- Slip Stitch – SS
Special Stitch:
- Third Loop Only (3LO) – Insert hook into side loop of stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.
Notes:
CH 1 does not count as a ST.

1 – HDC BB in 2nd CH from the hook and across the row, CH 1, turn.

2 – SC 3LO (helpful tutorial) in the 1st ST and across the row, CH 1, turn. (25)

3 – Suzette ST in the 1st ST and across the row until last ST, SC in
last ST, CH 1, turn. (25)
Row
4 – 1 SC in 1st ST, Suzette ST in next ST and across the row
until last two STs, 1 SC, 1 DC, Ch 1, turn. (25)
Row
5 – HDC in 1st ST and across the row, CH 1, turn. (25)
Row
6 – SC 3LO in the 1st ST and across the row, CH 1, turn. (25)
Tie off leaving a long tail.
Using the long tail, join the short sides of the ear
warmer with a mattress stitch (or your preferred method).
